Reuel Sample

The courts are starting to respond to Republican influence.  At the Supreme Court level, the left has lost several cases that in prior years would have been written off as insurmountable for conservatives.  From the Dobbs v Jackson case that returned the issue of abortion back to the states to the ruling in Students for Fair Admission V Harvard in which the court decided that race-based admissions are against the constitution, Republicans have won significant cases in a court system that previously was highly stacked against them.

In Louisiana, a Federal Judge issued an injunction that restricted the the administration from meeting and communicating with social media companies in response to a lawsuit brought on by attorneys-general in Louisiana and Missouri.  The lawsuit says that the White House went too far in encouraging Twitter, Facebook and other outlets to muzzle free speech in regards to COVID and the elections.

Here at home, the Republican controlled North Carolina Supreme Court restored voter ID laws that were passed by the legislature, struck down improper redistricting, and restricted voting by people with felony convictions.  These three rulings will help ensure elections in our state are fair and according NC Senate President Pro Tem Phil Berger quote “cannot be exploited to fit the political whims of left wing Democrats.”

In a time where we see the results of the radical left’s invasion and almost total control of education and the media, these victories are almost miraculous.  And they should give hope to Republicans that the process can work – but only if we stay involved.

Republicans have the answers.
